So I decided to start posting in Korean periodically so I can see my progress over time throughout the program. Since this is my first one it’s going to be pretty short and probably have a lot of mistakes.. but that’s all part of the learning process! ๐ This post is just about my daily life here.

Hello everyone! I like my life here in Korea very much. Before I came to Korea I lived in Germany. I liked Germany a lot. The land was very beautiful. On September 1st I came to Korea. Every morning I wake up around 5:30am. Then I eat breakfast. My favorite breakfast food is eggs. ย My homestay mother is a very good cook and my father works at an office. my homestay younger sisters are quite young. They are 6, 4, and 2 years old. My life in school is also very good. ย My classmates are all very busy but they are very nice. I don’t understand everything, but I study hard anyway. In class I usually do my homework. I am the only Korean-American in my class. My NSLI friend, Simone, is also in my class. From 11-12pm we eat lunch. After that we go to Korean class. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays we have Korean class. ย Sometimes Korean class is hard, but I enjoy it anyway! Because it is difficult I study every day. I love Korea so much!
Hi Libby,
I think you are doing pretty good. Don’t worry about mistake you made. More mistake will learn more. Remember, we so proud of you always.
Love,

Thank you so much! There’s a place called “Paik’s Coffee” right near my Korean class that I pass by each day and reminds me of you guys. Miss you all! ๐

This was awesome!! And it helped my Korean to read this because it seems like we’re about the same level right now, so I got to get some practice in and learn some new words ๐
